A word to the wise from the Local Arrangements Committee, book your hotel soon. ALA Annual coincides with the 45th Annual San Francisco Pride Celebration and Parade. AirBnB is another lodging opportunity and splendid way to immerse yourself in one of SF’s neighborhood. Stay tuned for more tips from the locals.
First local tip: Don’t try to book a hotel in SF itself. We have a lovely public transit system, so if you book somewhere in the East Bay or down on the Peninsula, you can use BART to get into the city and not have to pay an arm and a leg for your hotel.
And it will be EXTREMELY crowded in the city because of Pride week and weekend. You’ll see lots of fabulous rainbow-y people.
