Today I spent all morning and much of the afternoon with the ALSC Board, working on 2017-2020 Strategic Plan pre-planning, as we continue to work to move our organization forward.
The intended outcomes of this meeting were:
- To agree on timeline and framework for the 2017-2020 Strategic Plan
- To identify strengths and assets of ALSC
- To discover possible areas of strategic opportunity for ALSC
- To share aspirations for the future
- To broadly describe areas of strategic importance for ALSC 2017-2020
Working with a strengths and assets based process, and with the help of MANY large sheets of paper on the walls, we collaboratively looked at our current strengths and assets,
we looked at key elements of our vision/future,
and we discussed best methods of connecting our strengths to opportunities.
This was a very dynamic, inspiring, and productive experience. With input from the membership, including Focus Groups like the one Angela Chadbourne mentioned in her post, work will continue on development of the 2017-2020 ALSC Strategic Plan.
