We are working to enhance and further develop the ALSC blog and to make it more active and vibrant. Some of the things we hope to do include increasing our readership, developing an ongoing calendar of posts, looking at podcasting possibilities, working to build an online community, and more. Do you want to help? Are you a member of ALSC? If you are interested in joining the crew of ALSC bloggers, send a note to alscblog@gmail.com and let us know that you are interested in blogging with us.
It would also help if you could answer the following questions:
- Are you interested in blogging regularly?
- Would it help if you were given a regular, assigned general topic?
- Is there a particular library-related topic in which you are interested?
- Are you interested in podcasting or video blogging?
- Are you interested in microblogging at conferences and/or workshops you attend?
- Are there other aspects of blogging you’d like to see or help with on the ALSC Blog?
Together we can work to achieve the mission of this blog: “to provide a venue for coverage of time sensitive news in children’s librarianship, current issues in the field, and programs, conferences, initiatives, resources, and activities of interest to ALSC members and those interested in children’s librarianship.”
We look forward to hearing from you!
