Although not specifically designed for youth librarians, –or for libraries for that matter– the Foundation Center offers free webinars (short online training) . You must register to participate but there is no cost. Topics include grantwriting basics, proposal budgeting, and finding funders (plus other topics). Some topics are even offered in Spanish. The Center also offers free longer tutorials, interactive online training courses that reinforce lessons with interactivity, assignments, and self-tests. (There are also a few tutorials that have a cost but many are free.)

The problem is that such training isn’t likely to be useful, and we discuss why extensively in a post on Credentials and training for grant writers. Those interested in learning more about grant writing would probably be better served to read the linked blog, than to attend “free webinars.”
