If you are in the San Francisco area or need an excuse to go there, consider the upcoming Effie Lee Morris Lecture. The 13th lecture will feature Pat Mora speaking about Bookjoy: The Zing of Writing. The lecture will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. in the Main Library, Lower Level, Koret Auditorium. A reception and book signing precedes the program at 5:00 p.m. in the Latino/Hispanic Community Meeting Room. If you are unable to attend the lecture, an exhibit will feature facsimiles of original manuscripts from Mora’s work in the Fisher Children’s Center on the Second Floor of the Main Library from May 1-June 5, 2009.
