Which books have you most enjoyed after a child recommended them to you? The North Carolina Children’s Book Award (NCCBA) provides a list of picture book nominees for children in the lower grades and a junior book list for children in the upper elementary grades. Children throughout North Carolina nominate books for inclusion on this list and cast their votes for their favorite selections to determine the winner. As a member of the picture book section of the committee, it has been such a rewarding experience to read so many picture books suggested by children.
