There’s so much to say about the 2014 El día de los niños/El día de los libros (Children’s Day/Book Day) celebration.
ALSC invites you to submit your program in the Día National Program Registry. Libraries can register at the new Día website, where ALSC also offers free program downloads, Día resources, and ideas for your celebration.
ALSC is also accepting applications for mini-grants intended to allow libraries to initiate Día Family Book Club programs. Up to 15 mini-grants will be awarded at $2,000 each to public libraries that demonstrate a need to better address diversity within their communities through Día Family Book Club programs. The deadline to accept mini-grant applications is Saturday, November 30, 2013.
The mini-grants are part of the activities leading up to Dia’s 18th anniversary, culminating on April 30, 2014. Dia: Diversity in Action.
