I submitted a proposal for 2010 that was accepted. I have to say that one of the best professional development opportunities I have found is coordinating a program for a conference. I learn as much putting together the program as I do attending one. Consider sharing your successes and great ideas!<\/p>\n<p>The Association for Library Service to Children\u2019s Program Coordinating Committee is now accepting proposals for innovative, creative programs that have broad appeal for the 2011 ALA Annual Conference to be held June 24-27, 2011 in New Orleans, LA.<\/p>\n<p>The committee is looking for a wide range of themes and topics such as advocacy, multiculturalism, administration and management, early literacy, research, partnerships, best practices, programming, outreach and technology.<\/p>\n<p>You may find the ALSC Program Proposal forms at this site: http:\/\/www.ala.org\/alscevents, then under &#8220;ALSC activities at the 2011 ALA Annual Conference&#8221; click on \u201cprogram proposal.\u201d\u009d<\/p>\n<p>ALSC committees, members, and other interested individuals are welcome to submit a proposal.  Individuals who are not members of an ALSC committee may want to seek a letter of support from an appropriate ALSC committee to strengthen their proposal.  Please note that participants attending ALSC programs are seeking valuable educational experiences.  Presentations should avoid being too limited in scope.
