At ALA, an 8:30 start time is practically like starting at noon): a panel discussion with \u00a0E. Lockhart, Dana Reinhardt, Jenny Hubbard, and Jaleigh Johnson.<\/p>\n<p>The authors answered questions about their writing process, where their ideas came from (a question greeted with an &#8220;ARGH&#8221; by E. Lockhardt and Dana Reinhardt), and gave a one minute synopsis of their books. It was a brief but scintelating discussion, and a great way to kick off the day!<\/p>\n<p>Later on, Random House treated guests to a &#8220;best-of&#8221; preview, with each publishing house giving attendees a glimpse at their favorite books from their upcoming lists.
