I\u2019ve been working in educational programming\/events since I graduated college in 2007, and have worked on both live, in-person events and virtual events.<\/p>\n 2.\u00a0 Why did you join ALSC? Do you belong to any other ALA divisions or roundtables?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n I was interested in working at ALA and ALSC because it\u2019s a mission I can get behind and I heard nothing but positive things from the ALA employees. Not to mention, libraries are a big part of my life \u2014 I\u2019m at the Chicago Public Library at least once every couple of weeks \u2014 I love to read!<\/p>\n 3.\u00a0 Do you celebrate any Winter holidays?<\/strong><\/p>\n I celebrate Christmas! This year, my parents and 3 siblings will be going to Hawaii for a Christmas-time vacation \u2014 I couldn\u2019t be happier to get away from Chicago\u2019s freezing temperatures!<\/p>\n 4.\u00a0 E-books or Print?<\/strong><\/p>\n Both! I love my Kindle when I\u2019m on public transportation, but when I\u2019m at home I enjoy having the print books, especially for those books I read over and over again.<\/p>\n 5.\u00a0 Bonfire or Campfire?<\/strong><\/p>\n Definitely a bonfire \u2014 nothing beats a night on the beach!<\/p>\n 6.\u00a0 Do you have a \u201cguilty pleasure\u201d\u009d TV show?<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/strong>I\u2019m guilty of an obsession with \u201cThe Sing-Off\u201d\u009d \u2014 it\u2019s an acapella version of American Idol that was off the air for a couple of years and just returned this winter. I\u2019ve even seen some of the winners in concert! Consequently, I\u2019m also obsessed with the movie Pitch Perfect.<\/p>\n 7.\u00a0 If you could be on a game show, which show would it be?<\/strong><\/p>\n I would love to be on Cash Cab! When I visited New York City, I was determined to find the Cash Cab, but no such luck.<\/p>\n 8.\u00a0 What is your dream vacation?<\/strong><\/p>\n My dream vacation is to go to South Africa; I\u2019d love to go on a safari, swim in the waterfalls, go zip lining, etc. My friends and I are planning a trip there for 2014!<\/p>\n 9.\u00a0 Do you use Pinterest?<\/strong><\/p>\n That\u2019s a tough one \u2014 I do use it and pin things incessantly, but I can\u2019t say that I\u2019m very good about actually making any of the recipes or do-it-yourself projects!<\/p>\n 10.\u00a0 Candyland or Chess?<\/strong><\/p>\n Candyland!
