A little of everything! Here are my tips for anyone just starting out:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Start with favorites\u2013<\/b>Books that are hot in print are also hot as ebooks. Start with the top titles, and consider buying multiples. \u00a0<\/li>\n<li><b>Add in series\u2013<\/b>Buy Book One\u00a0plus the latest, then watch checkouts and holds to fill in based on demand. Publisher sales are great for filling in the gaps.<\/li>\n<li><b>Buy for all ages\u2013<\/b>Kids of all ages use ebooks, so be sure to buy picture books, board books, and easy readers as well as chapter books and fiction.<\/li>\n<li><b>Don\u2019t forget about homework\u2013<\/b>Frequently assigned titles, biographies, and hot report topics are all lifesavers when kids can\u2019t get to the library, but\u2026<\/li>\n<li><b>Be careful with nonfiction\u2013<\/b>Double check the publication date of the print title to make sure you\u2019re getting the most up-to-date information.<\/li>\n<li><b>Finally,\u00a0purchase frequently to keep your homepage fresh\u2013<\/b>Since the newest titles appear first, adding a few books at least weekly means repeat users will always see something new.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Have your own tips for building kids e-collections?
