The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ala.org\/alsc\/awardsgrants\/bookmedia\/sibert\">Sibert Award<\/a> is presented annually to the author, author\/illustrator, co-authors, or author and illustrator named on the title page of the most distinguished informational book for children published in the United States in English during the preceding year. As you are making your suggestions, please keep in mind that Folktales and other traditional literature are not eligible; in addition, books should meet the award criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Excellent, engaging, and distinctive use of language<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent, engaging, and distinctive visual presentation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Appropriate organization and documentation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clear, accurate, and stimulating presentation of facts, concepts, and ideas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Appropriate style of presentation for subject and for intended audience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supportive features (index, table of contents, maps, timelines, etc)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recommended titles must be published in the United States in 2025, and the books\u2019 creator(s) must be residents of the United States.
