When I walked into the ALSC<\/a> Interest Meetup<\/a> at #alaac25<\/a>, I was greeted by smiling faces. These included ALSC President-Elect Dr. Claudette S. McLinn<\/a> and Aryssa Damron, recipient of the 2025 Louise Seaman Bechtel Fellowship<\/a>. Basically ALSC royalty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

As others trickled in, I witnessed Dr. McLinn and Damron greet every. single. person. that entered the room and <\/em>include them in our conversation. Incoming ALSC Vice President-Elect Ariana Hussain<\/a> also joined us and introduced herself to each and everyone present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve been an ALSC member (and blogger!<\/a>) for about a year now. However, I\u2019ve been a fly on the wall during that time. (Or a wallflower?) If you didn\u2019t make it to #alaac25<\/a> or today\u2019s meetup but\u2014like me\u2014want to get more involved in ALSC, don\u2019t worry! Good notetaking skills are one of \u201cthe perks of being a wallflower<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n
