Our committee is now accepting suggestions for the Legacy Award from you terrific ALSC members. The deadline for submitting suggestions is April 30, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Legacy Award recognizes an author or illustrator whose books, published in the United States, have over a period of years made a substantial and lasting contribution to literature for children through books that demonstrate integrity and respect for all children&#8217;s lives and experiences. Recent recipients include Grace Lin, Carol Boston Weatherford, James E.
