Organized by Jumpstart<\/a>,\u00a0 a national early education organization that helps children develop the language and literacy skills they need for school, Read for the Record<\/a> is an annual campaign which encourages Americans to demand that all children receive the quality early education they deserve.\u00a0 Last year, on October 7th, 2,057,513 children around the world were read to. This year, on October 6, 2011, more voices will call for an end to America\u2019s early education achievement gap by reading Llama Llama Red Pajama<\/em> by Anna Dewdney \u2014 setting a world record in the process!<\/p>\n
