I can\u2019t wait to attend both of these sessions and I hope you will join me!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Jazzing up Youth Creativity: Free Arts Programs for Libraries<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Opening with a live performance from a jazz ensemble, this toe-tapping workshop shares interactive lessons that engage youth in the arts while simultaneously teaching them about history, dance, science, and more. Throughout the presentation, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jazz.org\/about\/\">Jazz at Lincoln Center<\/a> Educators, backed by a band of incredible Jazz musicians, will demonstrate the extraordinary and fun learning opportunities available, for free, through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mizzen.org\/\">Mizzen by Mott<\/a> app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Presented by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Seton Hawkins, Director of Public Programs &#8211; Jazz at Lincoln Center<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jennifer Conner, Chief of Strategy and Innovations &#8211; CNG Learning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kristin Stayer, Vice President of Engagement and Educator Experiences &#8211; Mizzen by Mott<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Live music and an introduction to tons of free music-related activities? Don\u2019t miss this session on Saturday, June 24th from 1-2pm in McCormick Place room W187a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>StoryTeen: Encouraging Teen Interns &amp; Volunteers to Offer Storytime, Support Early Literacy, and Explore Careers in Early Education and Librarianship<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Looking for new ways to engage teens and enhance your offerings for young library visitors? Discover <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bklynlibrary.org\/support\/volunteer\/storyteen\">StoryTeen<\/a>, Brooklyn Public Library\u2019s unique teen internship program, where high school students explore early literacy practices, the art of creating storytime, and careers in early childhood education and librarianship. Through support from children\u2019s and young adult librarians, StoryTeens constructed their own storytimes, both virtual and in-person, increasing BPL\u2019s multilingual storytime offerings and the diversity of program presenters. StoryTeens attended required and optional training sessions, from \u201cStorytime 101\u201d to a career panel on the variety of careers available in early childhood education and advocacy to a session with local authors on writing and illustrating children\u2019s books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Presented by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Rachel G.
