While it has gotten a little easier to find books in Spanish, other languages can be more elusive. Large distributors like Baker &amp; Taylor and even smaller suppliers like <a href=\"http:\/\/texasoverlookedbooks.com\/store\/Scripts\/default.asp\">Texas Overlooked Books<\/a> provide categories that help librarians locate Spanish language books. Even the ubiquitous Amazon has a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Books\/b\/ref=sv_b_5?ie=UTF8&amp;node=301731\">Libros en espa\u00f1ol <\/a>section.\u00a0But try finding titles that are available in German, Italian, Chinese, Hmong, or any of the other rainbow of languages spoken by residents in our communities and it is almost impossible. And that, of course, is why so many of us send out pleas to our colleagues for help.<\/p>\n<p>Check out publishers like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.starbrightbooks.org\/\">Star Bright Books<\/a>\u00a0for titles in languages ranging from Arabic to Vietnamese. On the website you can sort by available languages and many of the titles are available in multiple languages. Brian Wildsmith&#8217;s <em>Farm Animals<\/em>\u00a0is available in Navajo, Tagalog, and several other languages, for example.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.alsc.ala.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/tag2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-2845\" title=\"tag2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alsc.ala.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/tag2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"185\" height=\"132\" \/><\/a>\u00a0Other sources recommended by a number of librarians on ALSC-L included\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.panap.com\/\">Pan Asian Publications<\/a>\u00a0for books in Khmer, Hmong, and Russian, among other languages.
