The Children\u2019s Literature Lecture Award<\/a> Committee is seeking suggestions for our 2024 honoree (note: this is not <\/em>the same as the Children’s Literature Legacy Award). The lecture will be given in 2024 at a site to be chosen next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lecturer may be an author, critic, librarian, historian, or teacher of children\u2019s literature, of any country, who shall prepare a talk\u00a0considered to be a significant contribution to the field of children\u2019s literature.\u00a0Recent past<\/a> winners include Bryan Collier<\/a>\u00a0(at left),\u00a0Dr. Rudine Sims Bishop<\/a>, Neil Gaiman<\/a>, Dr. Debbie Reese<\/a>, Naomi Shihab Nye<\/a>,\u00a0and Jacqueline Woodson<\/a>. The complete\u00a0list of past lecturers<\/a>\u00a0is on the ALSC website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The nomination form<\/a> is available online to ALSC members and the deadline for submissions is August 18<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
