However, through various D\u00ed\u00ada activities and programs we hope to encourage children to hear and read many languages and discover that all languages are beautiful. As you begin to plan,\u00a0add two continuing education opportunities to your ALA Annual Conference schedule. On Immediately following that program, from 10:30 to noon (MARCC-RIver Bend BR<\/em>), join Pat Mora<\/a>, Oralia Garza de Cortes, Jeanette Larson<\/a>, and others for Many Children, Many Cultures, Many Books, <\/strong>a 15th anniversary celebration of D\u00ed\u00ada. In addition to sharing new D\u00ed\u00ada resources, attendees will discover multicultural programming techniques for year round D\u00ed\u00ada By all accounts celebrations of El d\u00ed\u00ada de los ni\u00f1os\/El d\u00ed\u00ada de los libros were fabulous this year. In spite of budget cutbacks and lower staffing levels, as many or more libraries celebrated bilingual reading this year as celebrated last year! But whether you hosted a\u00a0D\u00ed\u00ada event or not, don’t rest now.
