I am an experienced librarian with over 25 years of experience. I value the professional development and leaderships skills I have gained as a longtime, active ALA member. Along the way, I have served on numerous committees for both ALSC and YALSA including a recent term on ALSC Notables. I gained Board experience as a YALSA board member and served as YALSA President in 2010. As a member of both YALSA and ALSC, I think it is important for both divisions to work closely together so that our voices are heard through these changes, which will have a big impact on both organizations.<\/p>\n
As a previous ALA Council member, I bring the experience of serving two terms as an At-Large Council Representative. As an experienced leader, I will do my best to ensure that ALSC members stay informed of all changes coming and that their questions, concerns and suggestions are communicated.
