With the help of REFORMA, the National Association to Promote Library and\u00a0Information Services to Latinos and the Spanish-Speaking, the holiday was first celebrated on April 30, 1997. ALA formalized their support in 2001.<\/p>\n<p>Are you celebrating D\u00eda at your library? Are you offering a multilingual storytime? A special cultural craft project? \u00a0Add your program to the <a href=\"http:\/\/cs.ala.org\/websurvey\/alsc\/dia\/index.cfm\">D\u00eda Program Registry<\/a> to be included with other participating libraries.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t have plans this year?
