This is the 15<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of the event, originally proposed by children\u2019s author, Pat Mora. Libraries around the country recognize D\u00ed\u00ada as a great opportunity to bring children together<\/p>\n<p>Plans for the actual anniversary date\u2013April 30, 2011\u2013include a special presentation by Pat Mora at a library to be identified soon. The D\u00ed\u00ada anniversary also will be celebrated at the ALA Annual Conference in New Orleans on June 25th beginning at 10:30 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>A great way to commemorate this occasion is by ordering your copy of <em>El d\u00ed\u00ada de los ni\u00f1os\/El d\u00ed\u00ada de los libros: Building a Culture of Literacy in Your Community Through D\u00ed\u00ada <\/em>by Jeanette Larsen.
