Last weekend, I was eating a yummy BIG bowl of popcorn and started to think about all of the fabulous 2018 children\u2019s books about food.\u00a0\u00a0How can you use these new books in library program or storytime?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Our winter storytime theme is all about STEAM so I immediately thought of the Science of Food!\u00a0\u00a0Instead of using my old favorites including\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dpl.bibliocommons.com\/item\/show\/1708796094\"><i>A Birthday for Cow<\/i>\u00a0by Jan Thomas<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/dpl.bibliocommons.com\/item\/show\/1043722094\"><i>Too Many Pears! <\/i>by Jackie French<\/a>, I selected a combination of silly and informational new books.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Have you seen the picture book,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dpl.bibliocommons.com\/item\/show\/1711111094\"><i>Who Eats Orange<\/i>? by Dianne White<\/a> with its fabulous goat cover? The Family Meals section provides a wonderful selection of recipes to try at home too.\u00a0 Bonus: Share one of the videos from her <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cookwithamber.com\/\">Cook with Amber YouTube channel.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">The \u201cWhat&#8217;s the Science?\u201d sections in Jane Bull\u2019s new book,\u00a0<b><i><a href=\"https:\/\/dpl.bibliocommons.com\/item\/show\/1740557094\">Crafty Science: More than 20 Sensational STEAM Projects for Little Makers to Create at Home<\/a>\u00a0<\/i><\/b>is amazing!\u00a0\u00a0The book creates an instant library program with popcorn or cupcakes!
