I\u2019m in the same boat, but not in the same neighborhood, and for a majority of my younger patrons I may as well be moving to the opposite side of the country.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve asked the children that are interested to sign my \u201cgoing away\u201d shirt, and on Thursday we are having a pizza party, but in some ways, it seems very incomplete- over in the blink of an eye.<\/p>\n<p>I am very excited though for my change and new adventure. The previous, beloved Children\u2019s Librarian has become the Branch manager, and I am eager to work with and continue to learn from her.<\/p>\n<p>All this leads me to wonder, how do other librarians say goodbye? Did you do something special? Leave quietly? I\u2019m interested to hear!
