Ok, technically not<\/em>\u00a0one of the takeaways, but WOW! \u00a0what a site for a conference!<\/p>\n

The FLA Conference will be held at Caribe Royale in Orlando, Florida for two more years. \u00a0That’s two more<\/em> chances to enjoy an amazing facility in the tinsel-coated heart of Orlando. \u00a0You have to be a guest to sashay\u00a0down the\u00a0slippery\u00a0path of watery fun, but it is so<\/em>\u00a0worth it!<\/p>\n

Turns out, I’m the only one who said this was a top-five takeaway. \u00a0Let’s explore what everyone else had to say.<\/p>\n

Here’s Your Top 10 Takeaways!<\/h2>\n

  1. Networking<\/span>!<\/strong><\/em> \u00a0This was the #1 of the takeaways by FLA conference attendees in an informal, unscientific poll. \u00a0Networking is a chance to catch up with colleagues, make new ones\u00a0and hear about the latest from\u00a0around the Sunshine State.<\/li>\n
  2. Pre-Conference Rocked<\/span>!<\/strong><\/em> – “We received very practical, helpful information that could be\u00a0utilized immediately.”<\/li>\n
  3. Performers Showcase – Hands down<\/span>! \u00a0<\/strong><\/em>The showcase had an amazing array of incredible talent from around the world: “It was like going to a rock concert. It had everything.”<\/li>\n
  4. Can’t. Pick. Just. One. Thing<\/span>!<\/strong><\/em> – [brain explodes]\n

      Went to a session Friday Morning on Job Fairs, Quite informative!!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      The Human Library, followed by Thomas Fenton’s Leadership breakout session. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      The keynote speaker, Toni Tipton-Martin was pretty inspiring as well.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    4. Hands-on clay to STEM program was superlative! (Editor: way to plug your own session, Jonathan!<\/em>)<\/li>\n
    5. Session on nurturing empathy in children through multicultural programming was inspiring and motivated me to want to make a difference!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    6. Poolside Ukulele Jam!<\/strong><\/em> – what a way to raise money for the scholarship fund!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
