I want you to see the amazing picture books up close. If we are lucky, maybe rub elbows with an author or illustrator. So let&#8217;s get started!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The first event of the evening was a gathering of librarians but this was not just any party, it&#8217;s a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.holidayhouse.com\/holiday_house.php\">Holiday House<\/a> party. The publishing house was founded in 1935. The brilliant John H. Briggs ran the publishing company from 1965 to 2016 when it purchased by Trustbridge Partners. What are looking forward to attending?&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Amie Wright, the Manager of School Outreach at The New York Public Library, &nbsp;is reading two comic series and a nonfiction title: <i>Saga<\/i>, <i>Old Man Logan<\/i>, and <i>Born a Crime<\/i> by Trevor Noah. She really hopes that <i>March: Book 3<\/i> will win for Excellence in Nonfiction. No guesses for winners. She is most excited about going to the collection management discussion on Sunday at 4:30.<\/p>\n<p>Emily Drew, a collection development library at MyLibraryNYC, is reading <i>Scared Stiff<\/i> by Sara Latta from Zest. She thinks <i>March: Book 3 <\/i>will win for Excellence in Nonfiction.
