I love being in the audience as the winners are announced for the Caldecott, the Newbery, the Geisel&#8230;.. ALL the winners.\u00a0 Almost as much as I enjoy the actual announcements themselves, I love the build-up around the country as schools, libraries and book groups hold Mock Elections, discussing the best children&#8217;s books published in the last year and arriving at their own Mock YMA results.<\/p>\n<p>And isn&#8217;t it fun to see what others have selected as you wait for the official announcements which will be made at the ALA Midwinter Conference in January?<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Again this year, the ALSC Blog will be compiling winners of Mock Elections from around the country. <strong>Check it out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alsc.ala.org\/blog\/2017-mock-elections\/\">here<\/a>. <\/strong>We hope to see these lists grow extensively in the coming months. You can also find this tab at the top of the page of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alsc.ala.org\/blog\/\">ALSC Blog<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If your school or library is offering a Mock Election program for students, staff, or patrons, we&#8217;d love to add the results to the list!\u00a0 We will be compiling results from this year&#8217;s<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mock Caldecott discussions<\/li>\n<li>Mock Coretta Scott King discussions<\/li>\n<li>Mock Geisel discussions<\/li>\n<li>Mock Newbery discussions<\/li>\n<li>Mock Printz discussions<\/li>\n<li>Mock Schneider Family discussions<\/li>\n<li>Mock Sibert discussions<\/li>\n<li>Mock Stonewall discussions<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Way down at the bottom of the page is a form which can be used to report your group&#8217;s Mock Election results. Host your program and submit your results.
