If you haven\u2019t already, now is a great time to explore the Scheduler tool available to you on <a href=\"http:\/\/alaac15.ala.org\" target=\"_blank\">alaac15.ala.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m excited to share with you several sessions for librarians and library staff aimed at how to better serve your special needs populations. If you are unfamiliar with the term, \u201cSpecial Population\u201d, I strongly recommend reading, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alsc.ala.org\/blog\/2014\/05\/what-do-you-mean-by-special-population\/\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cWhat Do You Mean by Special Population?\u201d <\/a>, by fellow committee member, Amy Musser. Here, Amy highlights the importance of creating services and programs for special needs populations as a way of making sure our libraries remain accessible.
