Both of these amazing women have recently published books and their talk was structured as an interview, with Marley asking Patrisse all kinds of questions from how to handle the responsibility of starting an activism movement to how she educates her son about feminism to what her five favorite animals are. Both these amazing women had so much to say about the adults that influenced them as children. For Patrisse, her fourth grade teacher who handed her books about civil rights, talked to her about them, and allowed Patrisse to teach her classmates about the books was an enormous positive influence in her life.
