While ALSC continues to acknowledge the need for several committees to conduct much of their work face to face, several committees have successfully transitioned to entirely virtual, and all committees are encouraged to make use of ALA Connect and other tools to conduct some of their work. The change toward more virtual work provides numerous benefits to individual members as well the organization and profession as a whole. – Recruiting a wider pool of members and talent — Many current and potential members do not have the luxury of travelling to conferences regularly.
