</html><description>With the population of the United States becoming more diverse each year, working to connect children and their families to books that celebrate our diverse country has never been more important. The D&#xED;&#xAD;a celebration (El d&#xED;&#xAD;a de los ni&#xF1;os/El d&#xED;&#xAD;a de los libros Children&#x2019;s Day/Book Day) works to do just that. As the 2014 D&#xED;&#xAD;a celebration approaches the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) is inviting librarians to register their 2014 D&#xED;&#xAD;a programs in the D&#xED;&#xAD;a National Program Registry. By registering their D&#xED;&#xAD;a programs held throughout the year in the national registry, libraries build a searchable database that showcases all types and sizes of D&#xED;&#xAD;a programming allowing families to find programs near them. Libraries that register will also receive D&#xED;&#xAD;a stickers, buttons and bookmarks (while supplies last).
