Maybe you’re a school librarian, looking forward to a break in the daily chaos of your media center. Or if you are a public librarian, you are trying to gather your strength, creativity, and courage for Summer Reading. As for me, I’m looking forward to a meeting of all the children’s librarians in our large, urban library system. We exchange ideas for simple and imaginative programming. We find out what prizes we will give out (Free Library of Philadelphia-branded lanyards, we hope!) and brainstorm about the best ways to incentivize reading success.
