What’s the Big Idea? #alsc18 #act4kids
If our previous posts haven’t already enticed you to sign up for the ALSC Institute in Cincinnati this September, the inclusion of two “Big Ideas” sessions should seal the deal! New this year, the Big Ideas sessions will kick off Thursday’s and Saturday’s activities with top-of-mind topics discussed by industry leaders. In the Big Ideas session “A is for Advocacy,” a veritable who’s-who of children’s literature scholars will present their perspectives and action steps to bring diverse literature front and center in libraries and classrooms. The panel discussion runs from 11 am-12 pm on Thursday, September 27, and features four speakers: Edith Campbell is an Assistant Education Librarian at the Cunningham Memorial Library at Indiana State University, and blogs at CrazyQuiltEdi; Patricia E.
