The 2025 Mock Elections Results Page is Now OPEN!

I’ve always enjoyed participating in Mock Election programs. Mock Caldecott, Mock Newbery, Mock Sibert, Mock Geisel, and more… they are all fun! The public library I worked at had great Mock programs which pulled in diverse participation from not only our immediate service area, but from surrounding states. It was so fun to talk books and think about what might win the most prestigious children’s book awards of the year at the annual ALA Youth Media Awards (YMAs).

And then, way back in 2016, the ALSC Blog started to compile and publish results from Mock Elections around the country. We collect results not only from public libraries, but also from schools, book discussion groups, and bookstores. It’s not too late to think about hosting a Mock Award program; Maria Trivisonno shares some excellent information about how You Too Can Host a Mock Award. And, if you’re hosting a Mock Awards program for any of the YMA awards, we hope you’ll use this form to submit your fun pictures and results! The form is now open for all of your submissions.

Spread the word! Our goal is to have many more Mock Award winners included in this year’s Mock Elections Results page. Check back often to see which titles are rising to the top in discussions around North America.
