Spotlight on ALSC Committees & Children and Libraries!

CAL Rewind, ALSC's Children & Libraries

ALSC’s members are the association’s lifeblood and driving force! Through the hard work of our committees, task forces, and other working groups, ALSC is able to offer valuable resources like toolkits, reading lists, webinars, and more. Committee contributions also are apparent right here on the ALSC Blog, as evidenced by the many informational posts they share. Have you checked out these recent contributions?

These are just a few examples of the beneficial inspiration, assets, and insights ALSC members bring to Blog readers and the field at large.

Committees & Children and Libraries

And, did you know that ALSC committees are also active in Children and Libraries (CAL), ALSC’s quarterly journal, sharing their know-how and indispensable information there as well? Regular committee columns in CAL cover many different topics. Here are just a few examples from past issues.

Sharing Your Talents

Are you ready to take on a new challenge? Share your expertise with colleagues? Hone your leadership skills? ALSC members: any time is a good time to complete a committee volunteer form (ALA login/password needed)! If you’re not currently a member of ALSC, we always welcome new voices and perspectives to our community!

Many thanks to all members who help make ALSC shine!

This post addresses the core competency of VII. Professionalism and Professional Development.
