Two Paths to Diversity

Have you heard about the ALSC Equity Fellowship? There are still a few days left to apply!

At the recommendation of last year’s cohort, ALSC’s current Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Task Force introduced the Equity Fellowship in order to augment ALSC’s inclusiveness and diverse membership. This fellowship removes financial barriers and offers a unique opportunity for its members of color. Recipients will receive 2 years of ALSC and ALA membership in addition to 1 year of conference registration and travel stipends for the ALA Annual and ALA Midwinter conferences.

Even if you don’t apply, there are many other great opportunities to explore diversity in literature and library services to children, as one of ALSC’s Areas of Strategic Action is Learning and Development. Jumpstart your professional development and take advantage of ALSC’s webinars and book lists dedicated to cultivating a greater understanding of our world and the people around us.
