Anatomy of a Children’s Librarian in May

Anatomy of a Youth Librarian in May: zits, sleep deprivation, dry mouth from repeating info, a touch of carpal tunnel from communicating, graphic design, etc, quick heartbeat (excitement+anticipation+dread), ready or not here it comes!, outreach blisters

Not pictured: feeling responsible for summer slide backache, too much coffee quivers, sh**-eating grin in anticipation of fun, will we make it? Yes!

This year there is an extra level of political dread for our patrons, schools, and library funding. Anything else I missed? How are you feeling about Summer Reading this year?
