ALA Annual 2016

Say Cheese! Photo Ops at #alaac16 !

Once the exhibit hall gets pumped up with librarians, library lovers, vendors, and book lovers- the energy changes! People are grabbing tons of ARCs and Galleys of books. Also loading up on free snacks from vendors– thank you to Baker and Taylor for the ice cream bar, and Penguin for the ice cream sandwich! (It’s hot, I treated myself!)

Besides all the free stuff, there are lots of fun ways to engage with the vendors! This year, I found lots of ways to connect (beyond a sales pitch!)

At ABDO, Hillary Clinton and I stopped to chat libraries, politics, and our favorite books!

Then, Rainbow Fish and my cousin and I reminisced on 25 years of fun!

I stopped by a super cool both promoting the upcoming book, “A Child of Books” by Sam Weston and Oliver Jeffers, and got to add one of the books that made me a reader as a child- “The Big Book of Tell me Why!”

And then, I got a chance to see myself to my full potential– as a pickle!

What photos ops have you had? What did I miss?
