With school doors opening across the country it’s hard to believe the lazy days of summer have come to an end. Your public library’s hard work this summer has not gone unnoticed. LEGO® DUPLO® and ALSC would like to thank public libraries for the creative ways they have made summer reading fun for children with $5,000 to be used for future children’s programs.
From now until October 15, 2013 please go to http://apps.facebook.com/duplo-prod/ and “like” the page. Once on the Facebook page to go the giveaway tab in which you will be prompted to enter your name, state and zip code. In recognition of all of the meaningful programs, reading lists and activities that are carried out across the country, LEGO DUPLO will grant $5,000 to the public libraries* in the neighborhood with the most entries.
Please share the word on your website, Facebook page, newsletter and in your public library. We have created a flyer (attached) that you can hand out or post.
While on the DUPLO FB page we also encourage you to post details (and pictures) of your libraries Read! Build! Play! events. Families across the country use the LEGO DUPLO FB page to stay connected so it is a great way to raise awareness and show off the creative ways your library brings story time to life!
