ALSC Online EducationConnecting with ‘Tween Readers
Instructor: Edward T. Sullivan
September 26 – October 21

Take a journey into the mind of an 11-year old with Connecting with ‘Tween Readers, a fall online course from ALSC. Taught by Rogue Librarian/Writer Edward T. Sullivan, this course is great for expanding your range of influence in children’s service.

Reach that tough-to-crack demographic – those 10-to-12 year olds – in your library with this fun look at ‘tween readers. With this course, you’ll learn more about the social characteristics and the unique interests of ‘tweens. When the course is finished, you’ll see more engagement from your ‘tweens and be able to connect the books between childhood and the teenage years.

All this week, the ALSC Blog will be featuring one online course for Fall 2011. To sign up for an online course, check out the ALSC online education page: http://www.ala.org/alsced.
