This year ALSC is giving away $40,000 in scholarships to graduate students who are interested in a career in children’s librarianship. As an organization committed to enhancing the field of youth services in libraries, ALSC gives away six annual scholarships:
ALSC Bound to Stay Bound Books Scholarship (four awards, $7,000 each) — this award is made possible by the ALSC Bound-to-Stay Bound Books, Inc.
ALSC Frederick G. Melcher Scholarship (two awards, $6,000 each) — this award is funded through generous contributions from librarians and other professionals as a tribute to Frederick G. Melcher
