I would like to communicate with other children’s librarians, I am in South Africa, Port Elizabeth and love the children’s section. I have been in my post for 20 years and always looking for new ideas to bring teens to the library.

    Hi Chantelle,

Glad to hear that you’re interested in communicating with children’s librarians. The ALSC Blog is a great place to read about what’s happening in children’s libraries across the country, but if you’re looking to ask discuss ideas, there might be better forums. I would suggest getting signed up for the Association for Library Service to Children’s electronic discussion list. This is where children’s librarian compare notes and solicit programming tips. You also might consider membership with ALSC, which is open to librarians and library enthusiasts around the world.

    Dan
