ALA Annual 2018

Help #LeftBehind Librarians by Live Blogging at the Annual Conference #alaac18

In less than two weeks, many librarians will be heading to the ALA Annual Conference to be held in New Orleans from June 21 through 26.

ALA Conference webbadgeAre you heading to New Orleans for these meetings? If so, the ALSC Blog would love to have you volunteer to help those who are #leftbehind by writing short pieces telling about the people you are meeting and the sessions you are attending, as well as offering information about what you are experiencing and learning. As a live blogger, we’d love you to share information about ALSC’s many events including:

  • Leadership & ALSC
  • Pura Belpré Celebración
  • Newbery-Caldecott-Wilder Banquet
  • ALSC Charlemae Rollins President’s Program with Margarita Engle, Debbie Reese, Jason Reynolds, Ebony Thomas, and Edith Campbell (moderator)
  • and much, much more!

Live blogging is easy and fun, and is a powerful tool for sharing information with other librarians. It can also be a great way to take a reflective look at your own observations and experiences.

Take a look through our live blogging archives to read some of the information which has been shared from past conferences.

Sound interesting? Sound fun? Sound like something you’d like to do?  Contact Mary Voors at alscblog@gmail.com with your questions or to volunteer to liveblog from the Conference in New Orleans.
