Know Your Dí­a Resources!

Dia PosterIt’s never been easier and more fun to host a Dí­a event! Free resources abound at the Dí­a site, including a free downloadable poster, the 2013 Dí­a Book list and Book List Addendum and the always-popular .

Poster – The Dí­a posters are available for easy download and print. These make it really easy to publicise your event throughout your community. Posers are available in English and Spanish.

Book List – The Dí­a Book List is the perfect resource for discovering recent books from cultures around the world. Provided in PDF format, the brochure includes suggestions for children’s books available in several languages, resource websites, and literacy tips. This is the perfect resource with which to celebrate Dí­a every day of the year.

Resource Guide – Don’t forget about the Resource Guide, which is intended to help librarians interested in creating Dí­a programs and celebrations in their public or school library. With 78-pages of ideas, examples and handouts this is the ultimate guide to Dí­a programming! The Guide contains program models and resources for many types and sizes of programs; and for the librarian who is new to Dí­a, or has been celebrating for some time.

After you’ve gotten all of your resources, remember to sign up for the 2013 National Dí­a Program Registry! It’s a great way to continue your Dí­a tradition!
